About Ami Orto
A distinguished model and skilled professional dancer, Ami Orto draws inspiration from several individuals in the fashion and modeling world, including the legendary Heidi Klum. Raised outside of Cologne, Germany, Klum began her career when she entered a modeling contest at the age of 19. Beating out 25,000 contestants, Klum subsequently earned a modeling contract with Metropolitan Models New York. Throughout her career, Klum has acted as an inspiration for Ami Orto by appearing on the covers of Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire. Klum became extremely popular after serving as an Angel model with Victoria’s Secret. Ami Orto respects Klum’s ability to leverage her fame across the media spectrum. Klum has appeared on television, acted in films, and lent her voice to video games. In 2004, Klum became an executive producer of the hit show Project Runway, which she also hosts. In addition, Klum has designed several clothing lines, launched two fragrances, and painted multiple works featured in various American art magazines.
Following Klum’s example, Ami Orto spreads her skills across many genres. Beyond traditional runway modeling, Ami Orto has worked at conventions, served as a spokeswoman, appeared as a body double, and posed for printed media. She has also acted as Cleopatra for events at a Las Vegas casino. In order to maintain her body and express herself artistically, Ami Orto engages in several forms of dance, such as raqs sharqi, otherwise known as belly dancing.
